香川県におけるバラタナゴ（別称ニッポンバラタナゴ）の分布 Distribution of the Japanese rose bitterling, Rhodeus ocellatus smithi in Kagawa prefecture 植松, 辰美 ウエマツ, タツミ Uematsu, Tatsumi 安芸, 昌彦 アキ, マサヒコ Aki, Masahiko open access The pure line populations of Japanease rose bitterling (Baratanago = Nippon-baratanago), Rhodeus ocellatus smithi in Japan, will have disappeared in the near future by hydrization with rose bitterling (Tairiku-baratanago), Rh. o. ocellatus. In Kagawa prefecture, rose bitterling were collected in 1982, therefore, it was necessary to describe with accuracy the distribution of Japanease rose bitterling. This paper has reported two habitiats of the pure line populations of Japanease rose bitterling. There are two populations : one is the pond of Minami-ko, Ritsurin Park in Takamatsu-shi and the other is the pond of Tsuda-cho, Okawa-gun.
