| 内容記述 | John Stuart Mill is one of the greatest philosophers in 19ᵗʰ century. But his thoughts is often criticized as eclecticism. Almost the same time, he wrote two books On Liberty and Utilitarianism. The former is a classic masterpiece of individualistic Liberalism, in the latter he defends his version of utilitarianism. Usually it is thought that Liberalism and Utilitarianism are incompatible . But many critics attempt to reconcile them. We also try to unite them. | |||||||||||
