| 内容記述 | The meaning of the proverb “Constant dripping wears away the stone.” was discussed from several scientific viewpoints. At first, how many years does it take for dripping to wear away the stone? By carring out calculations, it was found that the time to wear away the stone is supposed to be more than 100 years by constant dripping of pure water. Geologically speaking, this is not such a long time, but it is too long time to maintain dripping in the same place and situation. If the dripping is more acidic solution, the dripping will wear away the stone more easily. Accordingly, it is supposed that the dripping is acidic solution formed by volcanic gases or acidic hot spring water from geothermal areas. | |||||||||||
