The Yamaji‐kaze is a southerly downslope wind rushing from the ridge of the Shikoku Mountains. From the view point of the wide area the characteristics of the Yamaji‐kaze have been investigated. The Yamaji‐kaze associates with the foehn phenomena. When the Yamaji‐kaze occurs, wind speed and temperature suddenly increase and relative humidity decreases. The temperature increase was 2.4 degC on an average, but it depends on the cases. The observed maximum increase of temperature was 7.2 degC. The relative humidity decreased by 20–30% RH. The air pressure on the leeward side was lower than that on the windward side by 3–8 hPa/44km. The distributions of winds of the Yamaji‐kaze over the coastal plains were shown.}, pages = {1--46}, title = {やまじ風発生時の気象状況について(2)—広域的に見た特徴—}, volume = {69}, year = {2019}, yomi = {キイ, ノブアキ and テラオ, トオル and マツムラ, マサフミ and モリ, ユキヒロ} }
