内容記述 | In a greenhouse where cultivation of melon takes a serious damage because of the continuous cropping, microflora of soil microorganisms was examined. (1) Fusarium infection of melon plants increased during the continuous cropping and caused reduction of the quality and yield of melon fruits. (2) Change of microflora in soil was investigated using selectively-isolating media. The number of fungal speceis and fungal population increased during the successive replanting while bacterial population decreased. (3) Among soil microorganisms isolated from the cultivating soil by the dilution plate method, twenty-two isolates were grown in PSA media and examined their toxicity to cucumber plants. Sixteen isolates caused serious root-rotting when the cucumber seeds were grown on the fungal colonies (Group A). Culture filtrates of nine isolates among them were also inhibitory to the growth of root. The population of Group A increased gradually in soil along the continuous cropping of melon. (4) Effects of all the fungal isolates on individual growth were examined on PSA media. There were at least several fungi (Group B) which prevented the growth of each fungal isolate of Group A, while the population of Group B rather increased during the replanting of melon. There were still more fungal isolates (Group C) which were inhibitory to Group B: and in Group C some of the isolates belonging to Group A were included. It is thus suggested that there is an extremely complicated interrelationship among soil microorganisms. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

内容記述 | 連作障害の発生している温室のメロン栽培土壌における微生物相を調べた. 1) 連作により Fusarium病発病は増加し, メロンの品質, 収量はともに低下した. 2) 選択分離培地を用いて土壌中の微生物相を調査したところ, 連作につれ糸状菌は種類, 菌量ともに増加し, 細菌は菌量が減少していた. 3) 分離糸状菌22株をPSA培地に生育させ, 菌叢上でキュウリ種子を発芽させた結果, 16菌株で顕著な根部の傷害が生じた. またPS培養ろ液を浸漬したろ紙上では9菌株で根部の発育阻害が起こった. これら有害糸状菌の総菌量は連作により増加する傾向にあった. 4) 分離糸状菌相互の生物抑制作用をPSA培地上の対峙培養で調べたところ, すべての上記有害菌に対し, それぞれを抑制する菌が数種以上あったが, それらの菌量は必ずしも連作土壌で減少していなかった. さらに, 抑制菌に対し発育抑制をする菌が数種以上検出され, 糸状菌の種類との間には極めて複雑な関係が推定された. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
