Spleen cells from the mice immunized with ZEN‐bovine serum albumin were fused with SP2/O myeloma. After HAT selection and cloning, two anti‐ZEN antibody producing hybridomas (ZEN.1 and 2) were obtained. In the indirect competitive ELISA with ZEN. 2, the limit of detection was 0.25 ng/mL. The ZEN.2 mAb cross‐reacted with α‐zearalenol (60%), β‐zearalenol (5.7%), α‐zearalanol (7.1%), and β‐zearalanol (0.9%). Our ELISA was sensitive and specific previously reported
