Japan). Female/male ratio was 0.11–0.17 in the habitat. Larger corms tended to express female, but no clear border of male/female in corm weight was observed. A.sikokianum has a sympodial shoot with a two‐year growth cycle. Inflorescence initiation occurred in May and floral primodia appeared on the spadix from September to October. Female produced larger leaves, and male had longer peduncle and longer spathe. Each leaf had 3–5 leaflets. Variations in leaf margin type, petiole of leaflet and variegation were observed. Inflorescences produced 300 to 1200 seeds with considerable variation in seed weight. A.sikokianum showed strong apical dominance, producing single bud
