The results of the present study suggested that the anthocyanin synthesis in slip of the petal, expression of eye in the petal, and expression of 5‐glucosyltransferase in the anthocyanin synthesis were dominant characteristics in the interspecific crosses. These findings should be useful for genetic improvement of cyclamen by using the interspecific
