| 内容記述 | We examined a method to remove the inorganic carbonate for particulate organic carbon (POC) analysis in coastal seawater. Generally, two kinds of methods, holding the sample filters over fuming HCl and washing sample filters by 1N HCl, have been typically used in the POC analysis. However, there are no examinations regarding the validity of these methods. We conducted the experiments and demonstrated that holding the sample filters over fuming HCl had possibilities of source of error for POC analysis due to a residual HCl in filter samples. We encourage to wash sample filters by 1N HCl rather than to hold them over fuming HCl. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
