 note = {A new species of the fossil murine rodent of the genus Rattus is described by comparing with the living endemic species of Diplothrix legata on the islands of Okinawa and Amamioshima. The murine fossil specimens aged as the later part of Pleistocene were excavated from the Pinza-Ave cave, the Miyako Island of the Ryukyu Archipelago, Japan in 1983., 齧歯目ネズミ科ネズミ亜科のRattus属の化石新種を記載した. 記載に当たっては沖縄島と奄美大島産の現生固有種であるケナガネズミDiplothrix legataと比較した. このネズミ亜科化石は1983年に琉球列島宮古島のピンザアブ洞窟から発掘され, 更新世後期とされるものである.},
