| 内容記述 | Pollen analysis was carried out using five mud samples collected from four drilled cores of submarine deposits in the Bisan-seto area. Picea pollen graines appeared at a high rate in the sediments which indicate the radiocarbon age of 19,00 ± 230 y. B. P. . It suggests that the vegetation of the age was a cool temperate-subalpine zone. Tsuga-Pinus or Alnus-Cryptomeria pollen grains showed higher rates in three sediments which are 25,600 ± 1,900 y. B. P., 22,800 ± 1,300 y. B. P. and 15,500 ± 600 y. B. P. in the radiocarbon age, respectively. It follows that the vegetation of the three ages was a cool temperate zone. The same finding in pollen analysis shown in the age of 10,830 ± 320 y. B. P. in this area. Other one sample with a radiocarbon age of 29,150 ± 1,500 y. B. P. does not coincide with the stratigratigraphical finding. The facts mentioned above, however, are still open to question, because the samples in the present work are not collected from a single complete core, and the radiocarbon age data are not necessarily comparable to those of the stratigraphic division in the area studied by the three previous authors. | |||||||||||
