| 内容記述 | I collected Eothenomys smithi in the following five habitats at the foot of mountain-ranges (altitude 20-148m ) in Ehime and Shimane Prefectures, January 30-February 3, 1979 and May 3, 1981, respectively : pine forest, mixtured coniferous forest, abandoned fields with susuki grass, mandarin orchard, and slopes of mandarine orchard. Following four species were sympatrically collected : Apodemus speciosus, A. argenteus, Micromys minutus, and Urotrichus talpoides. The lowest elevation of collecting site of E. smithi and A. argenteus is 10m and 40m, respectively. It is suggested that E. smithi commonly occurs at the cultivated fields at the foot of mountains in Shikoku, Kyushu, and Honshu, where Microtus montebelli is absent. | |||||||||||
