| 内容記述 | The length-weight relationship of Potamanthodes kamonis was examined along with the fecundity of female subimagos. The length-weight relationship of nymphs was described by power equations being different between the juveniles and the larger nymphs. No difference between the sexes was detected in nymphs, whereas female subimagos were heavier than male subimagos of the same body length. The number of eggs per female ranged from 1000 to 3200, and the weight-fecundity relationship can be approximated by a linear equation, F=523w-214. It is suggested that the lower fecundity of the smaller adults in the later emergence period may be compensated by their lower mortality owing to their shorter nymphal period. | |||||||||||

| 内容記述 | キイロカワカゲロウの体長・乾燥重量および蔵卵数の関係を調べた。体長-体重関係においては, 小型幼虫と雌雄の判別可能な大型幼虫とでそれぞれ別の関係式が得られた。また, 幼虫では雌雄差は認められなかったが, 亜成虫では明かな雌雄差が認められ, 雌の方がサイズが大型であるだけではなく, 同じ体長であっても雌の方が体重が大きい。雌亜成虫の体重-蔵卵数関係は, 直線式E=523W-214によって近似される。この種では羽化期の後期ほど亜成虫サイズが小さく, したがって蔵卵数も少ないことになる。しかし, 幼虫期の長さは後期の個体ほど短いために, 蔵卵数と幼虫期の死亡率とが相補的に働いている可能性が考えられる。 | |||||||||||
