研究方法: A助産院の産後ケア事業を利用した高年初産婦10名を対象に、産後ケア事業での体験について、A助産院にて約30〜60分間、半構造化面接を実施した。インタビュー内容は同意を得て、ICレコーダーに録音した。得られたデータは、質的帰納的に分析した。 |

結果: 研究参加者は、【周りに頼れずどうにもならない】と思っていたが、産後ケア事業を利用したことで、【心と体が癒された】。また、育児に専念でき【家でもやっていける自信がついた】ため産後ケア事業の利用を終了した。自宅に帰ってからは、助産院での経験と存在を【支えにして経験を活かす】ことで、試行錯誤を繰り返しながら自分と子どものペースにあった育児ができていた。また、心のゆとりが生まれたことで、【今母になってよかった】と思うことができるようになっていた。 |

考察: 心身ともに辛かった研究参加者は、産後ケア事業を利用し、心と体が癒され、子どもに目を向けることができるようになった。そして、助産師に見守られ、育児技術を練習したことが安心感と自信につながり、漠然とした自信となっていた。また、助産院をいつでも頼ることのできる場所として心の支えにし、経験を活かすことで、自分と子どもにあった育児について考えられるようになっていた。さらに、産後ケア事業を利用したことで心のゆとりが生まれ、子どもとの生活を優先させた自分を肯定することができ、今の年齢で産んで良かったと思えるようになっていた。 |

Results: The participants believed that they could not trust others, but by using the postnatal care service, they were able to heal their minds and bodies. The participants could concentrate on childcare after receiving guidance from a midwife. They stopped using the postnatal care service after they felt confident in their own abilities. Participants sometimes lost confidence, but through their experience and the maternity home support, they could raise their children at their own pace. Moreover, they felt contented as they were able to relax their mind. |

Discussion: Participants who were struggling physically and mentally improved through the postpartum care program and could take care of their children. Moreover, being supported by a midwife and practicing childcare techniques increased their sense of security and self-confidence. They started trusting the midwifery clinic for emotional support and childcare experience. It gradually helped them internalize childcare techniques and customize them per their needs. Furthermore, by using the postpartum care service, they could attain peace of mind which made them confident about their decisions to embrace motherhood at an advanced age. |

Conclusion: The use of the postpartum care service provided by the maternity home was an experience that healed the participants’ minds and bodies. It instilled a sense of security and confidence in the form of childcare that suited their needs. As a result, research participants were more relaxed and had a more positive outlook on life. |
